Carriers & services

We ship with Parcelforce 24 (Next Working Day) as our standard service. Dispatch is Monday–Friday. Orders placed after 5:30pm Thursday or on Friday–Sunday are dispatched the next working day.

We do not offer Saturday delivery on our standard service. During peak periods, extreme weather, or remote-area routes, delivery may take longer.

We may use an alternative reputable courier when required.

Age verification (alcohol deliveries)

All deliveries require an adult (18+) at the address to receive the parcel. Couriers may operate Challenge 25 and request valid photo ID. We do not deliver to safe places or leave alcohol unattended. Neighbour delivery is at the driver’s discretion and only to an adult with ID.

If age cannot be verified or delivery is refused for this reason, the parcel will be returned to us. Redelivery can be arranged; additional carriage costs may apply.

Where we deliver & timings

  • UK Mainland & Northern Ireland: Parcelforce 24 aims for next working day after dispatch.
  • Scottish Highlands, Islands, Channel Islands & remote areas: allow 1–3 extra working days.
  • We currently do not ship internationally (trade enquiries: contact@shantyspirit.com).

Shipping rates

Rates are shown at checkout and may vary by basket size, weight and destination. Promotional free shipping (when offered) applies to the method shown at checkout.

Tracking

You’ll receive a tracking link once your order is collected by the courier. Please use this link in the first instance for ETA updates or diversion options.

Delivery attempts, redelivery & returns to sender

Couriers will attempt delivery and may take the parcel to a local depot/post office if no eligible adult is available. Please follow the carrier’s instructions for redelivery or collection. If a parcel is returned to us because it was not collected or age verification failed, we can:

  • Reship (additional carriage charged), or
  • Refund the product price minus outbound/return carriage once received back in saleable condition.
    This does not affect your statutory rights or our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Damages, shortages & lost parcels

Please inspect on delivery. If your order arrives damaged, email contact@shantyspirit.com with photos and your order number within 48 hours so we can put in a carrier claim and arrange a replacement or refund.
If your parcel shows delivered but you have not received it, notify us within 7 days of the scan so we can investigate with the carrier.

Address accuracy

Please check your delivery address carefully at checkout. We’re unable to change addresses after dispatch. Mis-addressed parcels may be delayed or returned; additional carriage may apply for reshipment.

Heat, frost & packaging

We pack to protect in normal transit. In periods of severe heat or frost, we may delay dispatch slightly to ensure product quality.
